Unfortunately I have to confess that I've never gave much attention to this band from Sweden. To mine regret I've always noticed the band only as a secondary project from Ex-Spawn Of Possession drummer Dennis Röndum. What a shame. Anyway it wasn't a mistake to expose this band a little bit more, because on the albums "Remnants Of Deprivation" and "Transcend Into Ferocity" the band celebrates great hectically technical Death Metal. The new release fits 100% into the VB sound, but the new singer will sound a little bit extraordinary for the most people. The new one is called Martin Pedersen and he will be a thorn in the flesh of many Death Metal assertors, because his vocal style is more rooted into the hardcore genre, than in Death Metal. Well I also prefer the vocals of predecessor Dennis, but Martin makes an excellent job and he roars like hell. Also the famous notorious fast vocal speed of Visceral Bleeding is fortunately still present. That's similar to Cryptopsy after Lord Worm left the band and Mike Di Salvo joined the band. It's a shame with Dennis, but who cares if the music is great. Let's go back to the "Absorbing The Disarray" album: this record is fast, technical and hectically as usual and everything is wrapped with the best sound production in the band history. On this record isn't much room for breathing time, but the great riff variety prevents boredom for the most listeners. Well personally I have to confess that I'm impressed about this kind of insanity. Ok this album isn't blasting the whole time, because sometimes there also a few slow moments and some guitar solo parts. But I have to admit that the songs on this full length album aren't very catchy. However who's looking for some sing along able stuff should banish the genre Death Metal out of his mind. The band showing us some real great technical performance on this record and the great thing about that is that they're able to play this stuff live perfectly and without any mistakes. But being technical isn't enough to release a really brilliant album, because good songwriting is also an important point. In opposite with the mates in Spawn Of Possession, Visceral Bleeding has no real great killer songs on the album. But that doesn't mean that "Absorbing The Disarray" is a bad album. The album has some real great moments and a tolerable playtime of nearly 40 minutes. I would definitively recommend this CD to every fan of extreme technical Death Metal, but it isn't that great like the last Spawn Of Possession album. SOP will be further on, my favorite technical Death Metal band from Sweden. For the reader's which expect a Swedish Death Metal styled album in the veins of grave or dismember highly probable won't like this album very much. Well but not every Swedish band have to sound like Swedish Death Metal and that because this album is only for people who are into technical Death Metal bands like Psycroptic or Spawn Of Possession. In all a record which is good, but isn't able to dethrone genre kings like Psycroptic, SOP or Necrophagist. By the way there's also some extra stuff on the CD. The CD comes with a nice slipcase and it includes two video clips of "Rip The Flesh" and "Disgust The Vile". That's a good idea, but the videos are artless and unimaginative in my opinion. But the quality isn't bad. Ok on the whole this album is no mispurchase.
