Are you ready for one of the highlights of this year in the brutal Death Metal sector? Yes? Ok then here it comes. This output should be on the top on your "CDs I want" list. Terrordrome from Greece have done more than good work whit their first album "Vehement Convulsion". It was able to convince me from the first to the last second. High speed blasting on the drums, hyper fast fingers on the guitar and a nicely deep growling is what you will get here. These guys combine the speed with the sense for nice grooves and some slower passages. Because this was my first confrontation with this band the listening was even more a pleasure. You can nearly feel the joy of playing as the songs appeal fresh and unconsumed. I could not imagine a better production for this material than the one done by George Bokos (Rotting Christ): one gets a clean and strong sound rumbling out of the speakers dynamically. Through the bonus video material one can visualize what kind of talented musicians are working here. Merely there is not much action on the live clip from their show in the "Mylos" club. But that is not the fault of these guys. The video has been done in a charming way (a band presentation in a sauna? Well so it looks!) and altogether it is nice that these guys still have included the video even there is no movement in the first arrays. I would have liked it there. But let's get back to the album now. One can only find some negative points if one is fussy looking for them. The sample from "Saving Private Ryan" is nothing new and one is not able to understand the lyrics (there are also no lyrics printed in the booklet which is sad because the track titles are sounding promising). Anyway the vocals done by Peter "Terror" Ouzounis are maybe in perpetuity to monotonous for a few metal heads. But I like it. The cover artwork however is another story. On one side I like the idea but on the other side the realization looks a little bit unpurified, but as long as the band logo (one of the best I know) appears on it everything is alright. This is something these guys could keep for their next album as there is already not much to improve. I'm by all means exited and can only hardly wait. At all events there is now beneath Rotting Christ and Inveracity another great band worth to be mentioned when talking about Greek bands. Hopefully I will have the chance to enjoy these guys live on stage soon. Even if it will happen in the "Mylos" club. go on guys, because so it makes fun!
