Established in the year 1998 by the Frankfurter Ex-Afterblast member Marcus, Plasma was temporarily a one-man-band, until the Ex-Afterblast drummer Alf also came into play. After that, the band increased on the corpse molesting pervert Andy, who does the vocals on this release called "Creeping! Crushing! Crawling!". These are best described as a mixture out of gargling and growling, accompanied by a groovy mid-tempo riffing that strongly reminds me on bands like Bile or Rompeprop. The drumming is simple, yet effective and doesn't perish among the bulky guitars. The vocals are always clearly distinguishable as well. Fortunately, the variety is given too for the riffs are way to catchy as if it all became monotonous. However, the simple sound becomes boring after too many plays, and because of that a moderate amount of listening is advised. Intros are available only restricted and they do not interfere by the shortness also particularly. The duration of this full length is barely above 30 minutes which is totally ok for goregrind relations, because if this release would have lasted any longer, it would have been too much. The cover artwork and the album title allow the conclusion that the subjects here are animal horror movies, even though it has got nothing to do with the music, but it still is pretty innovative and it already worked out good for Bile also. All in all this is a recommendation to all friends of groovy goregrind.
