After three years in which one has not heard much new from Spanish brutal death band Impure they announce themselves back with their new album "Hemicorporectomy" which has been published under Goregiastic Records. After "Corpse, Intense Stench" this is the last time for Stéphane Doucerain working as an active member in this band on this new album. You are able to find some information about this on the bands pretty much badly done website. "Hemicorporectomy" has not really changed much compared with the previous releases. There are still these vocals that sound much like a background noise. In fact the voices are sounding like somebody is working on a CD with a razorblade like a maniac. The speed on "Hemicorporectomy" is mostly the same over all the eight tracks, including a nonstop blasting drum set which is mostly taking care that the creativity and the alternation are also in 2007 hold on a very small level. The bass is often just half to notice, which is leading back to a little rushing in the background as well as a not very strong production. Also you will get the feeling that everything you hear is sounding near the same and you ' ll also get the impression that all the band members are doing it their own way. Taking about the lyrics Impure is not offering much creative here than only the normal splatter and gore stuff. In fact there are only some mediocre riffs on "Hemicoroporectomy" but that is already all you can take out of this full length album. Only the cover artwork as well as the layout is looking good as they are done in a professional way by Plegeton Art studios. However a well created cover with a pretty good fitting layout is not a big reason for buying this album. At the end this one is just missing too much persuasive power, alternation and creativity at all corners and ends.
