| So are you in the mood for some real good Death Metal? Well then come on in, because the best/off by Dislimb called "Bleeding Anxiety" leaves enough room for everybody (if you have good taste). As soon as the intro of the first track "A Quality Of Mercy" is over, your neck muscles should prepare to be tortured: catchy riffs, fast and precise drumming and guttural vocals in the vein of Brodequin. Same goes for the next five songs, which cover the studio tracks on this album. Before every song there's a 5 up to 60 seconds long intro appearing. If you're interested which films were used, check out their MySpace page; they have all the parts there, which is a really nice small gimmick if you ask me. After the six tracks two live songs can be heard and a remix which is a nice bonus. Even though the live tracks reveal the humorous side of the band, the sound quality is only able to be called mediocre. A very pleasant fact is the variation of the vocals and the music caused by many line-up changes throughout the bands history but still the band keeps their own professional sound (no wonder, because some of the members have been from bands like Mutilated and Dripping as well as from Besieged). On the other hand, this thing has nothing new to offer, except for the first track and the live tracks; everything else was released on their self published demo. However, the production is much better this time. Whoever does not possess the already mentioned demo should grab this, as also the cover art is a lot better too. For half an hour of pure enjoyment there is always room if you're a decent Death Metal fan. By the way, this stuff is actually the only official release after the band reunited (Dislimb split up in March 2004). I just strongly hope that this murderous combo will release many more deadly attacks onto the Death Metal community under the flag of their actually label Comatose Music. |
