The first thing that came into my mind after Defleshuary started to please me with the stuff they are calling music was "Oh fucking shit, what is this here?". "Zombie Plague, Rampant Horror" is the name of the disc on which the shit is pressed and (to the guidance nature of all) assembled with 8 tracks of the worst Brutal Death Metal, like one didn't heard it in this way lately. Fortunately I can only say there. You can notice that the ideas of Defleshuary have been directly zero as they are using old material which was probably sounding even worse on their 2006 released EP and just add 2 new tracks to it which are also on the same weak level. Generally one can't really speak about ideas coming out of the brains of this band here, as the band is trying too much clearly and perky to swim on the current wave of Slam Death Metal bands like Devourment, Degrade or Aversion To Life without being able to set own accents in any way. Everything one can hear here one has already heard somewhere else, but in a much better way and on a higher standard. May it be the guttural vocals, which are hold predominantly in a deep style and start to get on someone's nerves soon like it was the case on Condemned or Cephalotripsy, or may it be the not optional adjusted and because of that a little bit pressureless drum sound, who is sounding good in the beginning but get on someone's nerves also very fast, everywhere you can find something, which one could consider in a negative way. Only the guitars and the bass are able to convince more or less, but never reach above the average standard of the genre. Also the intros that are partially used are mostly so damn known and taken from different horror movies that it's starting to hurt. But I don't want to make the whole thing so negatively here now, as there are some riffs played which are however quite nicely. Unfortunately these parts turned out to short in the tracks, so that mostly the boring standard riffs of the mark "dam dam dam dam, dam dam dam dam" are taking over the dominating part on this EP that has already caught up some albums through its running time. The main point of criticism is for sure the totally lousy drum sound that is pulling this EP pretty deep down the cellar. I don't want to go deeper into the detail; let's just say whoever on his own free will is listening to this EP will be able to open fast what I meant when talking about such a ugly drum sound. The coronation is set through an extremely ugly and unimaginative cover artwork which is showing a fucking hideous zombie who is trying out the actually modeling trend "thinner is better" and looks corresponding like it. Because of a pretty improper effect on the whole cover artwork the writing of this EP isn't really noticeable. All in all this EP is only interesting for those people who need to have everything collected that is coming out in this genre. But when you're someone who is buying his stuff with caution you'll for sure don't give any attention to Defleshuary. The band meanwhile has already menaced that their first full length album is on the way. It remains hoping that the band has learned up to then.
