I have for sure been a little wondering when I found this big Cannibal Corpse jubilee box in a rack of a more conservative and well known big stores. A little time before i had to admit to myself that this box would never be officially released in germany as the material of the first three records is included (which is still banned). Fortunaltely this box has been rated as harmless and so it was free for sale. On the first look "15 Year Killing Spree" offers us a innocent cover for Cannibal Corpse measures. When opening the box you'll find the three records and a dvd, a 28 pages big booklet which includes pictures and linernotes, a poster and the "Unleashing the Bloodthirsty comic". Looking at the sound storage medium a little exacting, you'll find a mix from livetracks, best of tracks and rare material, wherat for myself the "Created To Kill" sessions are the highlights of this box. The real highlight of this box i can't really arrange, as the first Cannibal Corpse Live Show 1989 is to much "screamy" in my opinion and at latest after three songs it becomes more languishing and the Moscow-Tour live show was played without a snaresound, for which the band excused in a short adumbration right before the show starts. Fact : So Cannibal Corpse are putting three records and one dvd full with material from the past 15 years, which is mostly nothing new for the fans, also sometimes in debased quality, adding a big booklet and a poster, configure a hard price for only making some extra money. A best of history is intersting for people, who want to study the band. For the real fans for which this box was actually made it's old cheese. A big questionmark on the usefulness of this box as the case may be the advisability of the first two records.
