Sometimes there are bands, around those such a big hype is created in the apron so that one can actually only assume of a damn fucking cool album. The disappointment later is often more largely after the corresponding CD was able to spin its first rounds. The Russian Brutal Death Combo Abominable Putridity is one of these bands on which this effect is exactly applying. A long time before the official expected release the prognosis that this will be a killer band like one hasn't seen it many times in the Brutal Death genre was spread based on only a few already know tracks. After innumerable fucked up delays Lacerated Enemy Records was broadcasting that Abominable Putridity's first album "In The End Of Human Existence" will finally be ready for sale in the end of 2007. But also this target appointment was delayed again and so the debut album of these brutal sickos from Russia became officially released only in January 2008. The expectations on this band have been pretty high as already mentioned however the bad assumption that one will get an overhyped album should be confirmed very fast. Basically one can estimate nothing more than Slam Death in the vein of bands like Cephalotripsy or Condemned on "In The End Of Human Existence". Also here one will once again find these consistently extremely deep monotonous "puke" vocals and gets the full load of mid-tempo Slam Death in combination with some blast attacks into the puss. The production of Abominable Putridity's debut release is maybe the only thing that can be assumed positively because here one has done some very good work. All instruments as well as the vocals that need getting used have been almost perfectly coordinated on each other and provided with enough pressure. Especially the bass sound and the sound of the guitars are becoming effective very well when the boxes are untwisted. One has really nothing to grumble here. But once again one can anew criticize the wealth of ideas with which one proceeds on "In The End Of Human Existence". None of the slam riffs is representing an enrichment in this subgenre of Brutal Death Metal and so it happens that none of the 10 tracks is able to shine through some special ideas and able to remain in one's mind. Sure all riffs are accomplishing its aim to deal some huge kicks into the ass of the listener over the runtime of barely 26 minutes but it's definitely not enough to leave some serious injuries. If one is taking it even more precisely the properly runtime on which one is confronted with brutal Death Metal is falling down again for a good piece because one was in terms of "Dissected From Within" not able to refrain to add a fucked up spacer that is only consisting of some weird smacking sounds. But as if this wasn't enough already one may listen to another boring and extra-long outro that is even said to be the title track of this album. All samples deducted the real runtime amounts only very brief 23 minutes which is actually representing almost too little for a real full length album. Some of the MCDs released in the last year almost had the same runtime but with minor track quantity and without the encouragement of samples. With "In The End Of Human Existence" one is getting an album that is a little bit better that the average because of its production but not able to fulfill its hype in any point and therefore represent a gain only for the die-hard Slam Death fans. Brutal Death fans who have expected an album with more aspiration shall have averted soon bored or however disappointed.
