Date: 07.04.2007 - Time: 00:00

from left to right: Anti Poutanen (Bass); Jarno Kolehmaine (Vocals); Perttu Kurttila (Drums); Kride Lahti (Guitar)

Manhunt: Hey bro! Wazzz up?

Band: Hi and thank you for doing this. We appreciate your support!!!

Manhunt: First off all introduce yourself and your band to our readers.

Band: We are Lithuria, fuck faces from Finland, we play brutal and fucking insane guttural slam rock´n´roll metal!

Manhunt: When did the band start?

Band: Quoting our website's history page, in the summer of 2005. We really got our act together when our singer Jarno joined to the band!

Manhunt: I heard your demo only as mp3. Did you press it yet?

Band: Yes, we did a small edition of 100 copies...

Manhunt: Who did the artwork?

Band: Niko Kalliojärvi from a Finnish band called Amoral.

Manhunt: What are your main influences?
Band: We probably couldn't reach an agreement over this matter so let the composers of the songs answer for themselves.

Kride: I like many types of music but Death metal and Gore is what I listen most. Maybe the biggest influences for me personally are Cannibal Corpse and Devourment. I also like a lot of rock bands like Motörhead, Black Label Society and Pantera which is one of the greatest band ever!

Perttu: It really depends about many things, like how you are feeling and what type of music you happen to listen at the time. But because people don't make a lot this kind of stuff in Finland, I try to introduce some US style in to my songs. My long-term influences are Devourment and Japanese bands Woundeep, Disconformity and Rest In Gore which I listen to a lot. Rompeprop and Sikfuk in their jolliness are also my favorites.

Manhunt: Please tell us something about the lyrics.

Perttu: I only write lyrics for Lithuria when I'm pissed off. I relieve my own bad feeling by telling about much severe topics than my own angst (hehe). I watch a lot of horror movies, so sometimes there are references to them. I like to bring things up with a little blink in the corner of the eye.

Jarno: I'm still a newbie when it comes to writing brutal DM lyrics. I've been introduced BDM only like couple of years ago. So really I'm just trying to keep up with Perttu's perverse imagination and come up with ridiculously chauvinistic stories 'bout women getting mutilated and/or raped. Not to undermine women in general, but just to work in the boundaries of terms set for lyrics in brutal DM. My lyrics writing past usually included people going insane and shit, but I definetly prefer this style of adding some twisted, dark humour in to the mix.

Manhunt: What can you say about the metal scene in Finland?

Band: It sucks, way too much popular shit. The brutal scene hasn't really catched on yet.

Manhunt: Are there many concerts?

Band: Nope... We are fucking angry because none of the great brutal and gore bands never really come play here. And if they do, the audience is basically made of the same 20 guys who show up to every gig. Everyone here just likes shit like Children of Bodom and Sentenced. Roughly speaking. Hehe.

Manhunt: What are your future plans?

Band: We gonna die so fucking loud!
Manhunt: Did any labels contact you yet?

Band: Not yet, but we hope that some label would do a vomit-release so we could start touring abroad a lot and rape Asian pussies!

Manhunt: Will you play someday in Germany?

Band: Hopefully! We have heard that Germany is a great place to play live! And our friend Rodrigo from Kataplexia has told us that Germans are nice, especially if you are from Finland.

Manhunt: Please tell us your top ten metal albums.
Perttu: Hard to say, but Devourment - Molesting the Decapitated, Mortician - Darkest Day of Horror, Carcass - Reek of Putrefaction.

Antti: Cannibal Corpse - The Bleeding, Stabwound - Human Boundaries, Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris

Kride: Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth, Devourment - all, Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill

Jarno: Lamb of God - New American Gospel, Despised Icon - Healing Process, Pantera - Official Live: 101 Proof

Manhunt: That's it! Thx for answering this interview. The last words are yours!

Band: Keep it brutal, fucking loud and drink beer and visit our website.
